- Payment information: payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store full credit card numbers, only the last 4 digits and expiration date for reference
- Account credentials: if you create an account, your email and a hashed password
- Communications: messages you send us via email, SMS, or our contact forms
We also automatically collect technical information when you use our service, including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and pages visited.

4. How we share your information

- Service providers who help us operate the platform: Stripe (payments), our SMS provider, our email provider, and our hosting provider
- Haulers and subcontractors we dispatch for your job, limited to the information needed to complete the service (name, service address, service details)
- Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety
- In a business transfer: if Crown Dumpster is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction
4a. Google user data (connected email accounts)
If you choose to connect a Google account to Excern’s built-in email client, we access your Gmail messages, labels, and email address solely to display, organize, and send email on your behalf inside your private Excern mailbox view. Specifically:
- We sync message headers, bodies, and attachments so you can read and search your mail inside Excern.
- We send email through your Gmail account only when you compose and send a message yourself.
- Connected mailboxes are private to the individual user who connected them — other users in your organization cannot see them.
- OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. We never sell Google user data, never use it for advertising, and never let humans read it except with your explicit permission, for security purposes, or as required by law.
- Disconnecting the account deletes our synced copy of your mailbox and the stored tokens.
Excern’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Payment processing
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store, process, or transmit full credit card numbers ourselves. Stripe’s privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information and is available at https://stripe.com/privacy.
6. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Financial records (invoices, payments, hauler bills) are retained for at least 7 years to comply with tax and accounting requirements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us, subject to legal retention requirements.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, secure session cookies, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

- Access the personal information we hold about you

- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
